  • January 1, 2023 (the legal public holiday for New Year's Day), falls on a Sunday. For most State employees, Monday, January 2, 2023 will be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes.
  • State offices will also be closed for New Year’s Eve on Friday, December 30, 2022
  • Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-4-105(a)(3), the Governor has designated that the Columbus Day holiday shall be substituted for the Friday after Thanksgiving.
  • The Governor has approved an additional day of closure, the day before Christmas Eve to observe the holiday
